LootFor raid instances that are regularly on our schedule (Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday), loot will be officer-distributed according to class, spec, rank, overall attitude and attendance. To help us measure attendance, contribution, gear distributed and other factors we will be using the EPGP system (Effort Points/Gear Points) that we refer to as CPP (Crimson Priority Points).
We ask raid members to link the item they would be replacing, and try to reward loot to those who are both deserving and in need of new items.
What is CPP?Below you will find a brief description of the EPGP loot system. If you seek detailed information about the system please refer to the following link
EPGP.
Members may wish to download the add-on if they would like to track their priority ranking in-game. Officers and higher ranked members must download the add-on to be able to add EP and GP and to distribute loot accordingly.
Download 5.0.1 THE BASICSEPGP is a loot distribution system that contains 3 basic elements. The basic equation is
Effort Points = Loot Priority
Gear points
1 – Effort Points (EP): Quantifies the effort of each memberEP can be awarded through a multiple activities:
- Being on time for raids
- Killing bosses
- Being present until the end of raid
- Being extraordinarily helpful to the guild (making pots for a specific fight)
- Doing some grunt work no one wants to tackle.
2- Gear Points (GP): Quantifies what each member got back as a rewardGP points are accounted though some other set of action:
- Receiving loot in a raid
- Receiving items from the guild bank for high level enchants
Base GPBase GP adds a certain GP to each member of a guild. This means the final GP of each member is: GP = BaseGP + RealGP. All priority computations happen on GP not BaseGP or RealGP. Decay also applies to GP as a whole but it only diminishes RealGP. As such GP can never be lower than BaseGP.
For example, say we have BaseGP = 100 and RealGP = 10. Applying a 10% decay will result in RealGP = 0 for a total of 100 GP.
Base GP prevents new recruits or long time inactive members from trumping your dedicated members just because their GP is 0 and thus their PR infinite.

Base GP is currently set to 100.
GP ValuesThe GP Values for items are predetermined and can be found in the item tooltip. The EPGP add-on displays the GP (Gear Points) value of the item.
3- Decay FactorAnother twist in EPGP, which makes it different than other loot systems, is the fact that EP and GP decay over time. With a decay of 15% (subject to change), after each raid the guild participates in, each members' EP and GP will be reduced by 15%. This eliminates any hoarding (large portion of the total available points are held by only a few individuals – a large issue with DKP). The decay will also have an effect on the values for people who attend the same raids and receive the same items but at different times. Lets say raider A and B attended the same raids, but raider A received x item before raider B, once raider B received x item, raider A will have a higher priority as the decay factor will have affected the values. Translation: the priority number reflects who got what last. (This is a pretty intense concept. I tried out some values for fun and it does work. Feel free to check out the EPGP site for a concrete example.)
You will find below the EP (Effort Points) that will be distributed to members for each raiding instances which is still on our schedule as well as the GP (Gear points). Members will not only be rewarded for killing bosses, but also by abiding the guild charter. Therefore arriving on time and further contributing to the guilds main objective of progression will earn you CPP. An additional bonus will be allocated for people staying until the end of the raid and one-night full instance clears.
CPP GuidelinesImportant notes- Improper imputing of data COULD result in annulment of all CPP for the given raid.
- CPP may be reset when reaching new progression stages. (ie: moving from 10 to 25 man instances).
EP Values- The on time bonus will be allocated to raiders that are ready for an invite at 5:15. This means you are ready for a summon and not in a group.
- For a "no show" raid, the amount of EP allocated to raiders in the raid group will be the "On time" amount + the "End bonus" amount.
- "Sideline CPP": For raiders and initiates that are not in the raid instance, we will be awarding FULL EP only if they are available and online when points are distributed. To receive sideline EP, raiders must whisper the CPP officer after EP has been given out. Invites for sideline CPP close at 5:45 server time and no invites will be given out mid fight.
- EP will be allocated during progression periods (farming blitz) when specific mats are required. This will be announced in the forums.
- EP will be added to those who respond to R&R threads. The amount allocated will be announced in the R&R thread.
Encounter EP valuesPlease refer to CPP Thread in the Raid forums for most current encounter EP values.
GP Values- Items that are given out for an off-spec due to no interest or need by any other raider will not cause any GP value to be added to the player. This means that their is no priority for offspec items and all items must be rolled on.
- If only one person is interested in an item that is a sidegrade (within 5 Item Levels of the item they will be replacing), the item will cost 50% of the GP value.
GP Penalties- Failing miserably will result in Larry adding whatever GP he deems appropriate to your CPP.
- "General chat spam", excessive use of emotes, toy trains and other annoyances may result in a severe GP penalty and/or removal from the raid group.
- There will be penalties to raiders who go AFK
without notifying the Attendance Officer.
After a ready check if a raider is listed as 'afk' and did not whisper the designated afk officer they will be whispered by said officer and given 30 seconds to respond. If they do not respond within 30 seconds they will be awarded 10GP. After 5 minutes they are removed from the raid and given an additional 30GP penalty.
